Aangan Advisory case study
01 · Context
Advisory services are hard to sell online. The product is judgment, there is nothing to photograph, and most sites in the category default to listings and stock imagery. We invented Aangan, an independent advisor for people buying and selling homes in Indian cities, to work through that problem properly.
02 · Problem
Make a service with no tangible product understandable and trustworthy within one visit, without pretending to be a listings site, and give the visitor a reason to start a private conversation.
03 · Thinking
The decisions that shaped it
- 01
Lead with the principle
'A house is viewed. A home is felt.' establishes the advisor's point of view before any offer is made.
- 02
Show judgment in action
A guided, room-by-room tour demonstrates how the advisor thinks about light, circulation, storage and family life, instead of claiming expertise.
- 03
Warmth as a trust signal
The welcome moment and specific Indian domestic details signal cultural fluency rather than generic luxury.
- 04
One conversion
A private consultation, positioned as the natural end of the tour rather than a form in the corner.
- 05
Honesty built in
The concept labels its imagery and its contact details as fictional throughout.
04 · Alternatives
What we rejected, and why
RejectedA listings-style site with search and property cards
It would compete on inventory, which an advisor does not own, and erase the difference the brand exists to make.
RejectedA testimonial-led trust section
There were no real clients. Inventing them would undermine the trust the brand is built on.
RejectedA generic luxury real-estate aesthetic
Cold and interchangeable. The audience buys homes to live in, not to admire from a distance.
05 · Experience
How it unfolds
- 01
Perspective
'More than a floor plan' explains how the advisor reads a home before the tour begins.
- 02
Guided home journey
Nine stops move from the neighbourhood to the welcome, living spaces, kitchen, bedroom and balcony, scrolling both ways.
- 03
Advisory
Three services, find a home, sell with clarity and local insight, arrive after the demonstration.
- 04
Principle
'The right home should make sense on paper and feel right in person.'
- 05
Conversation
A single call-to-action to book a private consultation.

06 · System
A horizontal, scroll-linked home tour sits inside a vertical page, with a progress indicator and bidirectional scrolling. The typography pairs a serif display with a humanist sans for warmth and legibility.
07 · Build
A long-form marketing site: hero, perspective section, nine-stop guided tour, services, principle statement, consultation call-to-action and footer, with the tour adapted for phones.

08 · What it proves
- Service strategy: turning an intangible offer into a demonstrable point of view
- Brand voice and naming for a culturally specific audience
- Trust through demonstration rather than claims
- Website design and front-end execution of a complex scroll structure
09 · Proof boundary
What this does not prove
- Aangan is fictional. There is no client, no enquiries and no business outcome to report.
- The imagery is concept imagery, not a real property.
- The consultation call-to-action is not connected to a live booking or CRM system.
- It does not demonstrate commerce, AI, automation or growth work.
10 · Next
If the project continued
- Replace the concept tour with a real advisor's process and a real neighbourhood.
- Add a lightweight enquiry flow with qualification and follow-up automation.
- Test the horizontal tour against a simpler vertical version for comprehension.
The service behind it
Websites that play like a short film
This concept shows the kind of website we plan, film, build and host for a business.
