How we use AI voices
An honest voice beats a clever one.

Every agent says it is an AI
Every agent introduces itself as an AI assistant in its first sentence. Some countries require that by law. We do it everywhere, because callers trust an honest voice more than a clever one.
Where the voices come from
Agents speak with synthetic voices from a voice provider. We choose one that suits your business and you approve it before launch.
We only use a real person’s voice with that person’s written consent.
The sample voices on this site are synthetic, and the businesses and names in them, such as Faye at Brightside Dental, are made up.
What an agent will not do
- It never pretends to be a person. It says it is an AI assistant in its first sentence.
- It never makes an answer up. When it does not know, it says so and takes a message.
- It does not give medical, legal or financial advice. It books the caller in with someone who can.
- Nothing goes live until you have called it yourself and approved it.
Emergencies
An agent is not an emergency service. If a caller describes an emergency, it tells them to call the local emergency number. If you have set up an on-call person, it can also put the call straight through to them.
Recordings and call summaries
Whether calls are recorded, and what callers are told about it, depends on the rules where you and your callers are. We set the greeting to match and agree it with you before anything goes live.
Recordings and summaries belong to you. We use them only to run and improve your agent. If you stop, we hand them over, and delete our copies when you ask.
Generated films and images
Films and stills on this site that were made with AI tools are labelled as generated wherever they appear. The people and places in them are fictional.
